Nineteenth Birthday!

This was my first birthday away from home. But my birthday was truly amazing. The day before we spent hours buying and planning stuff. My cake took 5 different people to make. But it was truly a bonding experience. And the morning of we had a lot of stuff planned out to do...but none of us woke up on time. LOL.

But when I did wake up I received a lot of texts and Facebook messages wishing me a happy birthday. I had to work that day so I went to work. And after work I went and got Jamba with a friend that used to be in my ward back in Florida who happened to be in town. And I love when people from home come and visit because I really love and miss a lot of the people in my ward and I don't get to go home often, so it was really great to catch up and have a piece of home around.

After Jamba I went to get my nails done with Allie and Brikell. We went to this place I haven't been to before and it was really weird. It took 5 different people to do my nails. One person removed my previous polish, another filed my nails, someone shaped my nails, another put on my polish, and then another lady did my marble design and honestly it was TRASH!!! It looked liked little tadpoles fighting on my finger. My combined total was supposed to come out to be like $40 but they charged me $25 so I was very confused about everything.

But after that experience we went to pick up my balloons. I ordered balloons that made the number 1998 because that's the year I was born and it would be a prop for the party. We then went and prepped everything in the clubhouse I was having it at. I think the decorations really worked out and everything looked really nice. But the music refused to work! Party had started but no music was playing. We couldn't figure out the sound system. But luckily Daniel who is in my ward came in clutch and brought his sound system that he had in his apartment and it really worked and was loud. It filled the entire room.

The party was a combined party because one of my really good friends Sammy has the same birthday as me. So there were a lot of people there throughout the night. And it was nice it was just some of our closest friends and I was happy because almost everyone at the party is preparing to leave and serve a mission and it was like our last hurrah. #Nasty19

I love all my friends, and I'm grateful to have celebrated my birthday with all of them. This was my first birthday away from home and the last time I'll see some of my friends for the next 2 and half years. I was really home sick and sad so almost everyday leading up to the party I cried. LITERALLY. I even cancelled the party at one point (yes I'm extra and emotional).

Overall it was an amazing day. I am so grateful for all the people I have in my life. Sometimes I suck at communicating and expressing my feelings but I truly love everyone in my life from the bottom of my heart and without you all who would I be?! I'm excited to be 19 and I can't wait to take this year by storm. #Nasty19
